OUR PROGRAMS

We have only one program that is mandatory. It is a simple program, but for many, it is not an easy program. At Serenity Recovery Living Centers, all residents are required to follow the principles and traditions of AA and NA.
We also offer residents programs access to other programs in which they may participate. These programs are not mandatory, but participation is heavily encouraged. In this section we will highlight only four of the programs available.
  • The ROES program. The ROES program (Recovery Oriented Employment Services) provides supportive services for people in recovery who are trying to find employment. A number of the Employment Specialists at ROES are people in recovery. They know what it is like to find a job when one has a questionable employment history. The ROES Program offers the tools needed by people at any stage of recovery willing to use those tools to find suitable, gainful employment. The program offers services in: Creating and upgrading resumes, walking clients through the development of creative job search strategies that fit the individual's abilities and requirements, holding mock interviews so that the client arrives at real ones prepared and refreshed, bus passes to and from job interviews, the emotional support everyone needs when they are looking for a job, and other services tailored to the individual client's needs. The success rate of Serenity Recovery Living Center residents in finding employment opportunities and keeping a job far exceed the norm.
  • Vivitrol Program. Vivitrol (see link below) - Naltrexone injectable developed and manufactured by Alkermes - is used monthly along with counseling and social support to help people who have stopped drinking large amounts of alcohol to avoid drinking again. Vivitrol is also used along with counseling and social support to help people who have stopped abusing opiate medication or street drugs to avoid abusing medications or street drugs. Our residents who are in the Vivitrol program seem to be doing well in controlling their urges to drink or use.
  • Angel Food Program. Serenity Recovery Living Centers has partnered with Angel Food Ministries (see link below), a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief  to communities throughout the United States. Through the Angel Food program we are able to assist our residents in purchasing high quality, below market cost food. Starting at about $36, an Angel Foods order provides enough food to feed a person for a month. This program is open to all people in the communities we serve, resident or non-resident. Contact our corporate office for details.
  • Hair Follicle Analysis and Urine Screenings. Working with Willow Laboratories (see link below), Serenity Recovery Living Centers provide hair follicle testing and urine screenings for its residents. These services are also available to concerned family members and the community at large.

Serenity Recovery Living Centers provides other programs more in line with our individual resident's needs. If there is a program we do not offer or support, and if there is enough interest among our residents and the community to support the program, tell us about it and we will certainly give it our consideration. Our facilities are open to worthy community programs.
